GameCare and FMVStory would like to invite you to participate in a community project regarding VNC (The Virtual Nightclub), released in 1997 for PC and Apple Macintosh. Although the title may sound suggestive, it was actually aimed at promoting the UK youth culture. The game can be summed up as:
“An interactive semi-FMV tour of an exclusive futuristic virtual nightclub that exists in cyberspace.”
An ambitious game that sadly fell into obscurity and little exists of it on the net these days.
But that is soon about to change!
We hope to:
– create a video walkthrough (Let’s Play or Longplay) plus additional text walkthrough (perhaps translated into different languages)
– gather as much information about the game as possible: scans of artwork boxshots, trailers, demos, interviews and more
– create a structure to ‘house’ all this data
How can you participate?
That is entirely up to you. We initially strive to create the most thorough walkthrough for this game, so please join us by playing the game and share notes/videos. We can also hook you up with a ‘colleague’ with whom you can play the game ‘together’, by using Teamviewer.
Perhaps you are more interested into archiving and would like to help create a database format. (much work is already done on this in the past two years)
Or maybe you know some of the people who were involved in creating the game and could help bringing them in contact with us. Whatever your support may be, it will be very much appreciated!
The project starts on the 1st of June and will (roughly) end on the 1st of July. Just send a short email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get in contact with you soon.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Mark & Branislav
Some of the absolutely incredible features of the game are described under this link.
