Dennis Miller That’s Geek to Me is not a game but very unusual edutainment title. I must confess that I had no idea who Dennis Miller is (as I mentioned already few times, as a child of an ex-communist country, not every element of decadent western culture is known to me :-P), but after googling the name I realized I saw him in Bordello of Blood.  Anyway, he is known stand-up comedian and commentator.

This title was developed by Sanctuary Woods, the company responsible for developing or publishing games such as Ripley’s Believe It or Not!: The Riddle of Master Lu, Journeyman Project or great duo of animal simulations Wolf/Lion. The main point behind this title was to provide a quick reference to all the geeky computer terminology to the average Joe in a light and funny way. There is a list of maybe around 100 terms, you click on them and are given funny or snarky comment by Dennis. These are followed up by the explanation from the geeky cartoon guy.

Dennis Miller gave his famous name, wrote all the comments and played himself. To be honest, some of them were funny, some of them not, but in my head I try to justify the reason for the existence of such product. I would understand if the glossary was just part of broader encyclopedia focused on how computers work in general but in this form, it looks to me a bit shallow. Enjoy the short clip.
